Lampizator announcement: launch of our all new TOTL HORIZON DAC

We are definitely in trying and frustrating times. Communication is always the key to a happy buying experience even if it is not the news you want to hear.

I've never been successful in reaching Fred. I always end up getting Rob. Does Fred have a direct email?
As for trading up - well - I'm still waiting for that supposed opportunity. I have a Pacific and I put a deposit down on the Horizon over 3 months ago and - well - crickets.
I saw Lukasz at the Munich High End Show, but he was extremely vague about production numbers and delivery schedules for the Horizon. The latest news is that Lampi is selling to new customers first before getting around to loyal existing owners looking to trade-up. That policy or practice is not mentioned on the Lampizator site. Has anyone with a Pacific traded up and received the Horizon? I haven't found any so I thought I'd check here.
I dont think the rumour is true at all. Most everyone I know with an Horizon was trade up customer. Fred reads the thread here so he should be seeing your message. They seem to be pumping out Horizons now...

Horizon ordered, so fingers crossed the supply chains don't disrupt things too much!

We've been covering a lot of bases recently in the Horizon thread. Here's a little detour I wanted to share.

I was just listening to/watching a video of the first place prize winner in The Cliburn piano contest for 2022. The performer was Yunchan Lim from South Korea (18 years old). This was his Semifinal performance of the Liszt 12 Transcendental Etudes for piano. This is a set of tremendously challenging pieces (of course, being works of Liszt).

I listened to/watched the performance with my system generating concert sound levels (measured with my dB meter). The balance, consistent sonic qualities, and especially integration of top to bottom frequencies is a stunning achievement with the Horizon.

FYI, you can find that video with a search of "Yunchan Lim The Cliburn". Yes, I know the limitations of the source, but on the right system with the Horizon at work, I think you'll be surprised at the realism. I know I was.

Just a quick peek for now, but we're off to a great start here in Seattle for the Pacific AudioFest.

We've got two Horizons in statement rooms on the lower level with our partners Von Schweikert, VAC and Acora.

Upstairs on the penthouse floor we've got our Pacific making beautiful music with Daedalus speakers and VAC.

More pix to come.

I see the the VSA room scored 6900's plus adapters. Plus the KR KT88 and EML 274B mesh. That is the same set I started with. Leif told me he also scored a quad set of TS KT170 but they haven't been burned in so he is saving them for next show. You hit a home run Leif

I don't own a Lampi dac, but that was a very nice video to watch. Genuine and sincere. A pleasure.
Master Yoda always speaks with great emotion. You can feel his pride and joy when he discusses the Horizon and the satisfaction he gets hearing what he designed. A more modest man does not exist.
